Expressing
his belief that the pro-Hindu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would win the
elections in India and form the central government, the international patron of
Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) claimed the change in New Delhi will help Nepal
become a Hindu country again.

The
BJP has lauched its election campaign, projecting Narendra Kumar Modi, the
chief minister of Gujarat, as the new prime minister of India. Both the VHP and
the BHP are associated with Sangh Parivar, an umbrella organisation of Hindu
nationalist bodies in India.
Singhal,
who arrived here in Rajbiraj after taking part in Kumbha Mela at Chatara of
Sunsari, was speaking to the reporters today.
On
the occasion, he highlighted the relation between Nepal and India since Vedic
era and said Hinduism has been the basis.
Claiming
that conspiracies are being hatched to attenuate Hinduism worldwide, the
religious leader pointed out the need of unity between Nepal and India to foil
them.
According
to him, the new constitution has been delayed in Nepal because the country was
declared secular.
Instead
of getting divided by ethnic, professional, communal or lingual bases, he said,
all Hindus should embrace Hindutva as their common identity.
Also,
the Saptari district chapter of VHP had felicitated Singhal today.
